A Touch of Glory tells the story of the 1955 Crispus Attucks basketball team — the first all-Black team to win the Indiana state championship — and the legacy they carried far beyond the court.
Blending sports, history, and live theater, the play examines teamwork, pressure, leadership, and what it means to carry a community’s hopes.
The upcoming revival is designed to engage both theater audiences and the broader sports and civic community through partnerships, educational outreach, and public performance.

The play resists easy villains or redemption arcs, instead asking what people choose not to say — and what those silences cost.
Themes:
Addiction and recovery • Moral ambiguity • Institutional failure • Faith without certainty
Development:
Staged readings and ongoing revision.
