"This deftly crafted and consistently compelling read is very highly recommended for both community and academic library historical fiction collections."

 "Fascinating from beginning to end."

Sadie Ray is a struggling writer with an inattentive husband, a father with dementia, and a mother who channels Richard Nixon. Then she survives a near-fatal accident—and three dying babies recover after she touches them. Sadie suspects hospital error. The world sees a miracle. Soon the sick swarm her Indiana farmhouse, scientists pursue the secret to eternal life, and the President fears what a healer could do to an economy built on illness. To pay for her security, Sadie agrees to star in a reality show, choosing who gets healed and who doesn’t. As churches rise in her name and an increasingly ambitious AI spreads lies about her, she clings to the one thing that still makes sense: rewriting Paradise Lost. Darkly funny and deeply human, In Wandering Mazes Lost: One Weird-Ass Party explores faith, power, and what happens when everyone wants a piece of a woman who never asked to be a savior.
